Everything you need to know before placing your first Custom Size order. Still stuck? Our support team has been answering embroidery questions for over 25 years.

What is the Custom Size feature?
Custom Size lets you order any eligible embroidery design at the exact width and height your project needs. Instead of being limited to the original 4–5 stock sizes, you tell us your dimensions (between 1? and 12?) and our digitizers re-stitch the design at that size, keeping density, underlay, and pull compensation production-perfect.
How many designs can I resize?
Close to 300,000 designs in our catalog are eligible for Custom Size. Look for the Custom Size option on a design's product page — most stock designs qualify.
How fast is the turnaround?
Custom Size files are delivered in 1–3 business days. You'll find them in your Order History as soon as they're ready, available for instant download in every embroidery format.
How is pricing calculated?
Pricing is based on the design's height and width. The total updates live as you change dimensions on the product page. Sizes must be between 1? and 12? on either dimension.
Which file formats do I get?
Every Custom Size order includes all standard embroidery machine formats: DST, EXP, PES, JEF, HUS, VIP, VP3, SEW, XXX, and EMB. Stitch one file on any machine you own.
Can I use Custom Size for caps?
Yes. Check the Cap Size option when ordering and our digitizers will re-route stitch direction to follow the curve of the cap crown — preventing puckering and keeping the design crisp on curved panels.
What does "Proportional" mean?
Proportional sizing locks the original aspect ratio — change one dimension and the other auto-adjusts. Uncheck it to stretch the design to a non-standard shape (rarely recommended).
Do Circle members save on Custom Size?
Yes. Circle members get 10% off every Custom Size order, automatically applied at checkout. Membership pays for itself quickly if you order more than a few designs a month.
Can I refund a Custom Size order?
Because each Custom Size file is digitized to your exact specifications, orders are non-refundable once production begins. If something is wrong with the file, our support team will fix it free of charge.
