Keep is simple and small for a child's quilt or go all out, flames and all, for Dad. Maybe even Grandpa.

Though baby boys will love it too, this is a great pattern to do as a lap quilt for the man in your life. Also the small size minus a row or two would make a perfect pillow case, see the pillowcase listing. You can border the lap size and make a twin bed quilt.
*Skill Level: Beginner All Straight rotary cutting, all straight seams.
This pattern is Traditionally pieced not applique.
The pattern lists fabric yardage, then charts for how many strips to cut, and then how many pieces. Once the pieces are cut you follow a full page labeled picture, sewing straight 1/4 inch seams. The shaping is done with quick corner triangles, or the "snowball method". Lay a square on top and sew corner to corner, then trim and flip. Then follow a full page color image of the Motorcycle alphabetically labeled, ready to assemble row by row.
