Frog baby Quilt Pattern

The Pattern comes with 3 sizes: Main instruction is for 36x42 crib size, with additional measurements for 24x28 and 48x56.

For frog lovers of all ages. You can border the lap and make a Twin.

Skill Level: Beginner.

This quilt is pieced, not applique. If you can sew a true 1/4 inch seam you can sew this quilt.

The pattern first uses a chart with the given number of strips to be cut for each color. Second, it has a set of charts with piece lengths to be cut and labeled from those strips. The shaping is done with quick corner triangles, or the “snowball method” where a sew line is drawn corner to corner on a square and place on top of another square or rectangle. Once those squares are marked you follow a full page color labeled image of the quilt, assembling piece by piece, row by row.

This quilt is for all the frog collectors out there. Originally I thought I would have a little fun with color and do a red eyed spotted Tree Frog (see separate listing), but since then I have gone back and made a more traditional green frog in a pond with his little fishy friends.

Notice the echo quilting around the frog, like ripples in a pond. Those were done on my home sewing machine with a walking foot. Even the quilting is easy.
