Elephant Baby Quilt Pattern - Instant Download!
This Baby Elephant quilt was originally created for my sons twin bed, then adapted to fit a baby quilt. Safari is a wonderful neutral theme that can be used for baby boys or baby girls. You can also change the elephant colors to light blues or purples they are often easier to find shades that match. And border or back with cute safari fabric.
Size: The main instruction is for a crib size 36x42 image, with additional pages for 24x28, and 48x56.
The image is stripped and pieced. Great for beginners. All straight cutting and all straight seams. This pattern is traditionally pieced, not applique.
The pattern lists fabric yardage, then uses charts to show the number of strips to cut and the number of pieces to cross cut from those strips. The entire top is sewn row by row using straight 1/4" seams following a full page labeled color image of the quilt top. The shaping is done with quick corner triangles also called the snowball method, so again straight seams.
