Description

Create a festive treat bag with a cheerful candy corn applique design, perfect for Halloween. This fun and easy project is great for holding small treats or gifts. Step-by-step instructions are included.

  • Tear‐away stabilizer
  • Fabrics for bag and appliqué
  • Thread
  • Ribbon for handles
  • Other embroidery items you use to complete projects.

    Final Product: What You Will Create
     

    Step 1:
    Back of Bag instructions:
    1 - Hoop tear‐away stabilizer and place on machine and stitch out first CC. This is a placement stitch for top of bag.
    2 - Stitch decorative stitching and buttonholes.

    Step 2:
    Front of Bag
    Hoop tear‐away stabilizer and place on machine and stitch out first CC. This is a placement stitch for top of bag.

    Place top of bag front along edge of stitching line stitch CC 2 this will tack down top of bag and hold in place.

    Now follow CC chart and stitch appliqué.

    Place the back of the bag (right side facing down) over top of front and then line up top and stitch front & back together.

    Step 6:

    Remove from hoop & trim then turn right side out lace ribbon through button holes and tie so ribbon doesn’t come off.

    Step 7:
    You can square off corners to so it will stand its own by matching up the side and bottom seam and sew across it to create a triangle then turn right side out.
