  • Selected letters from the Embossed Font and Embossed Oval Font Embroidery Design Packs
  • Bath towel, hand towel and washcloth
  • Embroidery thread in color of choice and matching bobbin thread
  • Embroidery machine

    Step 1:

    Hoop washcloth. Use no backing or topping. Embroider the chosen letter from the Embossed Oval Alphabet.

    Step 2:

    Remove the washcloth from the machine and from the hoop. As you can see, the embossing stitches lay the nap of the terrycloth down. The border and the letter are stitched on top of the embossing as part of the same design.

    Follow steps 1 and 2 for the hand towel. Use the chosen letter.

    Repeat step 1 and step 2 for the bath towel, using the chosen letter from the Embossed Alphabet. Each of the alphabets were sized to fit the corresponding towel.

    This is a view of the finished design after the bath towel is removed from the embroidery hoop. We embroidered our towels tone on tone, but the designs would be equally effective when stitched in a contrasting color.
