Description

Apron for mother-in-law made from pre-made apron and the violets in a mug design.

    Step 1:

    Did sample embroidery of the Violets in a Mug design - to find out color layout. Original design was mostly purple however colors needed where in the blue family to match her kitchen.

    Changed the three colors of purple to three shades of blue (light, medium and dark). Changed the gold color to yellow. Changed the black color to a navy blue which made it stand out better and not as harsh as with the black.

    Changed the purple color in center of pansies to a shade of orange to match the apron. Attached an orange button to match the apron from which she could hang her measuring spoons from.



    Step 2:
    Embroidered the design with stabilizing.


    Step 3:

    Since the apron fabric was a linen base, some small sections of the design did not embroidered as nice on an even base fabric. I touched up the design with permanent markers on the uneven threads (light touch or it will run).
