Applique Valentine Candy Stocking Embroidery Project

Description

Create charming Valentine stockings using felt squares and applique techniques. These 11-inch triangle stockings are perfect for holding candy from Cupid. Step-by-step instructions are included.

  • Felt
  • Cotton
  • Ribbon

    Step 1:
    Create a triangle pattern out of cardboard.

    Step 2:
    Using the pattern cut out two of them from the felt squares.

    Step 3:
    Embroider one side with the design of your choice.  I used an applique design.

    Step 4:
    With wrong sides together, sew up the sides, you can use a straight stitch or decorative stitch, I used a zigzag.

    Step 5:
    Attach a ribbon to the sides for hanging. Hang with a paper clip or Christmas ornament hanger.
