Miniature Flower Set Embroidery Project

Description

Create a charming set of miniature flowers perfect for various decorative uses. These delicate pieces can be arranged individually or as a beautiful collection to enhance any space. Step-by-step instructions are included.

Materials
  • Free Standing Lace Miniature Flower Design
  • Floriani Wet N Gone®
  • 40 wt Rayon or 50 wt cotton thread
  • Plate of warm water
  • Paper towels

    Final Product: What You Will Create
     

    Step 1:
    Hooping
    Hoop two layers of Floriani Wet N Gone®.

    Step 2:
    Making the Flowers
    Sew all flowers in the color of your choice. In the 20 piece set each row of 5 flowers can be sewn in a separate color or all in one color.

    In the 20 piece set all flower centers will sew at one time to avoid multiple color changes.

    Step 3:

    Trim connecting threads between all the flowers on both the front and the back of the design.

    Step 4:
    Place the embroidered Wet N Gone® in a plate of warm water.

    Step 5:
    When all the Miniature Flowers separate, place them on a paper towel to dry.

    When the flowers are dry they may then be hand sewn, or glued, to doll dresses or other small items using the flower center color thread.

In 2001 Pat was named “Embroidery Educator of the Year.” For many years Pat taught digitizing seminars at the ISS Shows in Long Beach, CA and for Compucon software. She now resides in Tucson, AZ.
