If you choose to monogram the hanky, you can do so
before removing from hoop. For a corner monogram, turn the monogram at a
45 degree angle before sending the design to the machine. Embroider.

Remove from machine. Turn hoop over to expose backing.
Carefully cut away the excess backing (one layer only) inside the
embroidery, being very careful not to cut the muslin, by sliding the
scissors along the embroidery column.
Step 6:
Remove from hoop.
Step 7:
Carefully cut as close as possible to the outside scalloped edges of the design. The hanky is now complete.
Step 8:
Wet the hanky to dissolve the backing that remains in the lace edge. Allow to dry.
