Print this pattern. Then cut out the center
of the eye patch. You will use it as a guide after you have embroidered
the design. Patch size when printed should be 3" wide x 2 7/16" high or

Now take
the Eye Patch pattern that you have printed previously and place it over
the back of the embroidered fabric. Draw around the patch pattern with
the fabric pencil or marker.
(Placing the paper right side up will make the patch for the left eye.)
Step 5:

Then on the front of the embroidered fabric you will draw the same patch
pattern. This time flip the paper over and draw the outline. Then mark
an X on each seide where you would like to place the elastic band. At
the top draw two lines about an 1 1/2" apart. This area will be left
open when you sew the design together.
Step 6:

Now sew along the line, do not sew between
the two lines on the top as this is where you will turn the patch right
side out. Re-enforce both sides of the opening and where the elastic
bands are.
Step 9:

Cut the excess fabric off about 1/4" away
from where you have sewn. When you get to the top cut each layer of
fabric separately so you do not cut the elastic.

Turn
the patch inside out. Use your finger to form the patch shape. At the
top where it is open fold in the excess fabric and hand stitch closed.
