Travel Pillows
If you travel by plane much, you will notice all sorts and shapes of travel pillows. By far the most popular is the neck pillow. It’s a small rectangular pillow with a half-circle cut-out for the neck. Here is a great application for corporate promotions and advertising. Rather than monograms and names, apply logos in such a way that even when the person is using the pillow, the logo can be seen. This means putting it on the top surface at one end. Of course, we can’t control where the person using the pillow sits and whether he/she positions the pillow for maximum visibility, but we can do our best to make it be seen. There are also numerous other small travel pillows, some with pillowcases, some with removable covers. All of them are candidates for embroidery, especially with corporate logos. (I have a travel pillow from a bed & breakfast inn that has a picture of the inn sewn in one color on the front.) Travel pillows are very straight-forward when it comes to embellishment. The only challenge is dealing with ones that don’t provide easy access to the sewing surface. In this case, you will have to open a seam for access, then sew it back upon completion. Other than that, travel pillows are another unique item for your portfolio of products. MARKETING TIP – Another unique promotional item to show your corporate accounts—a great giveaway item. |
