ITH Sewing Machine Clock Embroidery Project

Description

Create a charming sewing-themed clock using in-the-hoop techniques. This project features a decorative sewing machine design with stitched numbers, perfect for your craft room or as a thoughtful gift. Step-by-step instructions are included.

Materials
1 embroidery hoop of 9" (23.5cm) circumference, you can take from 8" (20cm) circumference.
1 piece of fleece of 21x21cm.
1 piece of felt of 27x27cm for the top.
1 piece of felt of 25x25cm for the back.
1 piece of 10x10cm of black felt.
1 clock system.
Thick cardboard.
Support Tear Away.

Step 1: Put your support in your frame Seam 1: this seam tells you the location of your fleece.

Step 2: Put on your fleece to cover the entire seam.

Step 3: Seam 2: This seam will sew your fleece on your support.

Step 4: Remove excess fleece.
                                    

Step 5: Put your felt piece for the front on your fleece.
            

Step 6: Seam 3: this seam will hold your felt in place.
            

Step 7: Sewing 4-5-6-7-8: embroidery stitches.
                         

Step 8: Seam 9: this seam tells you the location of your felt for the sewing machine.

Step 9: Put your felt, taking care to hide all the seams.
                                                
 

Step 10: Sewing 10: this seam will set up the place for your sewing machine.
           
Step 11: Remove excess.
                                                      

Step 12: Seam 11: this seam tells you the location of your felt for the thread coll.
       

Step 13: Put your felt to cover the entire seam.
                                                            

Step 14: Seam 12: this seam will hold your felt in place.
                                                         

Step 15: Remove excess fabric all around.
                                                           

Step 16: Sewing: 13-14-15-16-17: Embroidery stitches.

Step 17: Put your felt piece on the back of the frame and hold well in place.
                          

Step 18: Sewing 18: this seam will join your 2 pieces of felt together. You should have this on the back of your project.

 

Step 19: Print the template.
                                                                               
 

Step 20: Cut your template and join the 2 parts into 1 single.
                                                                                

Step 21: Take the inside of your embroidery hoop. Draw on your cardboard the inside of the hoop.
                      
Step 22:

You should have this.

    With your template, come and mark the center of your circle on the cardboard.
    Make an incision on your clock in the center.Put your project on your cardboard and move until your center incision arrives with your center mark on the cardboard. Put a little hot glue on your cardboard to keep your project in place.

Step 23:

Cut off the excess felt that ends up on the back by following your cardboard.(DO NOT CUT THE FELT FROM THE FRONT).

    On the back of your project, take the inside of the hoop and come and put it on the cardboard, the cardboard must be inside your hoop.
    Turn your hoop over and put the outside of the hoop in it, tighten the small screw on top to keep it in place.

Step 24:

Cut off the excess of your felt a little from the top.

    With hot glue, stick the excess on the edge of the inside of the hoop.
    Take a pick and come to make the opening on the center of the cardboard. Make small insision to be able to pass your mechanism.

Step 25:

Pass your mechanism. Put your needles.
