Grillin' Towels Embroidery Project

Description

Show the grill master in your life that he is the Grillfather with whimsical embroidered grilling towels.

Materials
  • (2) Cotton Bar mop towels 18” x 18”
  • Tear Away Stabilizer
  • 505
  • Embroidery thread
  • Air erase fabric marker

  • Designs used in this project

    Final Product: What You Will Create


    Step 1:

    Gather all supplies and review instructions before beginning. Print out paper template of embroidery design Grillin’ and Chillin’.

    Step 2:

    Find center of towel by folding in half. Finger press fold to create a crease.

    Step 3:

    Center and place paper design template aligning with creased center 4” up from hemmed edge to center of design. Mark axis points and center.

    Step 4:

    Load design file into your machine. Hoop a piece of stabilizer. Spray temporary adhesive spray directly onto hooped stabilizer. Center towel onto stabilizer matching axis point to your hoop’s built in axis markings. Attach to machine. Confirm center needle placement. Refer to design thread color chart or your choice. Begin embroidery stitch out.

    Step 5:

    Stitch out complete. Detach hoop from machine. Cut/Trim all jump stitches and loose thread ends. Remove tear away stabilizer. Iron press if needed to remove any wrinkles.

    Step 6:

    Woohoo! You did it! Great job. Repeat steps with Grillfather linked design for a set.
