Applique I Love Chocolate Cap Embroidery Project

Gather all supplies and review instructions before beginning. Print out paper template of embroidery design.

Load design file into your machine. Design file for this tutorial was resized to 4” x 1.6” to fit into embroidering area of cap that was used. Refer to your machine’s instructions manual on how to resize if needed based on your cap’s embroidering area.

Hoop stabilizer. Mark a crosshair directly onto stabilizer using your hoop’s axis markings as your guide.

Flatten the bill of your cap as best you can. Center paper design template onto embroidering area and mark axis points. Use the center seam of cap as a guide when center positioning.

Spray temporary adhesive spray (505) directly onto stabilizer. Center place cap matching axis points to markings on hoop and stabilizer. Finger press down and smooth to adhere. If needed use painters tape to help hold the cap in place .

Attach hoop to machine. Confirm center needle placement.  Begin embroidering stitch out process. Refer to design thread color chart or use your choice of thread colors. Embroidering stitch out complete. Detach hoop. Cut and trim all loose thread ends and jump stitches. Tear away stabilizer from the back. You are done! Great job!
