Keepsake Men's Handkerchiefs Embroidery Project

Description

There’s nothing classier than a monogrammed or embroidered handkerchief for the father figure in your life for this upcoming Father’s Day.

  • Men's Cotton Handkerchiefs
  • Embroidery thread
  • Tear away stabilizer
  • Temp adhesive spray (505)
  • Air erasable fabric marker

    Step 1:

    Gather all supplies and review instructions before beginning. Print out a paper template of each of the embroidery design files you will use. Iron press handkerchiefs.

    Load embroidery design file into machine.



    Step 3:

    Hoop stabilizer. Center place paper design template onto a corner of handkerchief. Mark axis points. Spray temporary adhesive spray (505) onto hooped stabilizer. Center place onto stabilizer matching axis points to your hoop axis markings. Finger press and smooth to secure in place.

    Step 4:

    Attach hoop to machine. Confirm center placement of needle. Make any needed adjustments to center. Refer to design thread color chart or use your favorite colors.   Begin embroidery stitch out process.  When embroidery process is complete: Detach hoop. Cut trim all jump stitches and loose thread ends. Front and back. Carefully tear away stabilizer from back.

    Step 5:

     Iron press and you are done! Way to go! Repeat steps with other embroidery designs to personalize additional handkerchiefs.
