Read through the instructions thoroughly before beginning and assemble all the materials needed to complete the project. Print out the paper templates of the designs.

Step 2:
Press the towel well and then fold in half lengthwise. Measure up from the bottom of the towel 11” and place a pin for the center of the embroidery. Hoop a layer of the adhesive tearaway; score and remove the protective paper. Use the guidelines on a gridded surface to align the hoop and center the towel.

Step 3:
Load the recipe design on the machine and rotate it if needed. Stitch the design following the color sequence. If there are any jump stitches that need trimming, use tweezers to lift the thread and trim with a small sharp scissors. This is more easily done while the towel is still in the hoop.

Step 4:
Remove the towel from the hoop and remove the excess stabilizer. Cut around the lemon templates and place them as desired. Begin with the Lemon Slice. Load the design on the machine. Hoop the towel with tearaway stabilizer, centering the template. Stitch the design following the color sequence. This design is a light density design. Remove the towel from the hoop and remove the excess stabilizer.

Step 5:
Hoop the towel centering the Lemon design. Load the design on the machine and stitch, following the color sequence. This, too, is a light density design. Remove the design from the hoop and remove the excess stabilizer.

Step 6:
The last step is to add a decorative plaid band at the bottom. On the bias, cut the band from plaid fabric so it measures the width of the towel by the height of the band, plus seam allowances all around.

Step 7:
Measure a line straight across on the towel the distance up. Place the band, right side down, along the line and pin. Stitch The band in place. Flip the band over and press.

Step 8:
Turn back the fabric on the left and right edges, and then the bottom, mitering the corners. Top stitch the band in place. Give the towel a final press.

Step 9:
Thank you for purchasing the designs used for this project! Now use the recipe to bake the most delicious lemon bars. This would be a great housewarming gift or take the bars to a picnic this summer.
