Read all the directions before beginning the project. Gather supplies and prepare materials. Lightly starch and iron the fabrics. A design template is the actual size of the stitch out. Use the template as a guide for placement and positioning of the design. Embrilliance Essentials embroidery software was used to add the words 'HOT STUFF' in Sport font to the embroidery design and to print the design template. Add the words to the embroidery design and print a design template.
Step 2:
Center the design template onto the 10"x10" blender fabric. Pin the design template in place on the fabric.
Step 3:
Hoop one piece of cut away stabilizer. Center the fabric in the hoop. Use a light mist of 505 Temporary Adhesive spray to help hold the fabric in place of the stabilizer. Use wonder pins or stick pins to secure the fabric in place on the stabilizer.
Step 4:
Load the embroidery design onto the machine. Check your needle size. Attach the hoop. Follow the color chart to embroider the design.
Step 5:
Cut one piece of fusible fleece 10"x10". Follow package directions to bond the fusible fleece to the back of the embroidered fabric.
Step 6:
Trim the excess fusible fleece from around the outer edges of the fabric.
Step 7:
Place the 14"x14" backing and binding fabric right side down on a flat surface. Place the 10"x10" embroidered fabric piece in the center of the 14"x14" piece of fabric. The overlap should be at equal distances on all sides of the fabric. Use a light mist of temporary adhesive spray to hold the fabric in place.
Step 8:
Trim the overlap to 1.5" on all sides of the square.
Step 9:
Fold the overlap in half. Use a finger press or a rolling press to make a crease at the fold line.

Step 10:
Fold the overlap in half for the bottom side of the block. Finger press or use a rolling press to make a crease at the folded line of the fabric.
Step 11:
Fold the overlap in half on each side of the block. Press a crease along the fold line of the fabric.
Step 12:
Fold the binding fabric along the edge of the embroidered block. Fold the top and bottom sides of the block and then fold the binding fabric on the sides of the block. Use wonder clips or pins to hold the binding in place.
Step 13:
Top stitch two rows along the edges of the binding.
Step 14:
Congrats! You have made a 'HOT STUFF' hot pad. WTG!
