Make your Valentine’s gift card a little sweeter this year by inclosing it in one of these felt gift card holders. Only about 10 to 15 minutes to make depending on the amount of embroidery in the design.
Cut a 4” x 6” and a 3 ½” x 4” rectangle of Prime felt and tautly hoop tear-away stabilizer in the hoop.

Step 2:
Run the 1st color stop (CS) as a placement line for the fabrics. It does not matter what color thread you use for this as it will later be cut away from the project.

Step 3:
Lay the 4” x 6” felt over the placement lines so that the felt exceeds the placement lines by ½” on all sides. Do NOT use any adhesive spray just lay the felt over the placement lines. Run CS 2 in any color thread to tack it down.

Remove the hoop from the machine, do not unhoop. Place the hoop face down on a flat surface. Lay the 4” x 3 1’2” felt rectangle so that the 4” measurement goes across the width of the project. Lay the top of the 3 ½” edge even with the little marks that stitched out when the tack down stitch was sewn. Tape the side edges of the felt down with embroidery or painter’s tape.
