Final Product: What You Will Create

    Step 1:
Gather the materials and read through the instructions before beginning.

    Step 2:
Cut your cotton fabrics into 5” squares. Hoop your stabilizer and position the plain cotton fabric on the stabilizer, ensuring it is centered and secured down by pinning it or using a tack down stitch to hold it in place. Stitch out the 1 color design.

    Step 3:
Unhoop the design and cut away the stabilizer, cutting around the design. Place the embroidered square ontop of the patterned cotton square, right sides facing. Pin together then stitch around the edge, using a ¼” seam but ensure to leave an opening along the bottom edge.

    Step 4:
Trim the corners and turn the pouch right side out, ensure you push out your corners to make it square.

    Step 5:
Mix together ½ cup of uncooked rice and ¼ cup of Epsom salts then put 10-15 drops in of your essential oil. If you don’t have a small funnel, simply roll a piece of paper, starting from the corner, to form a funnel. Insert the funnel into the opening of the pouch and spoon in the rice/salt mixture.

    Step 6:
Pin the opening closed, then pinstitch all around the sachet. This will also close the opening.

    Step 7:
Repeat steps to make as many drawer sachets as you wish. Switch up thread colors and patterned fabrics to make a coordinating set.
