Lotus Vine Jean Patches Embroidery Project

Gather all the required materials and read through the instructions before beginning. Have a copy of the color sequence on hand to refer to along the way.

For the long vine design, I have blended 4 separate designs (2 ‘s’ vines and 2 single lotus flowers). In the below image I have placed red boxes around each design. I have rotated and mirrored them to create the one design for down the leg then used 2 of the Lotus flower with vines, small size, for the back pocket. Hoop your stabilizer and secure your felt down, I have floated the felt and used a stay stitch. Stitch out the design then unhoop and tearaway the stabilizer.

Freely cut around both designs, ensuring to leave felt around each design. Place the designs onto the Wonder Fuze and cut the Wonder Fuze to the same size as the embroidered felt pieces. Apply the Wonder Fuze to the back of the embroidered pieces as per manufacturers instructions, allow it to cool. Once cool, peel away the white paper and cut closely around each design, ensuring you leave a border for you to stitch around. 

Mark on your jeans where you want to place each design. For the back pocket, I simply unpicked one side and half the bottom of the pocket, this means the pocket will stay in place but allows you to apply the patch easily. Position the patches on your jeans and following the manufacturers instructions for Wonder Fuze, apply the patches to your jeans. 

Once cool, you can now stitch down the patches. Position your foot as close to the edge of the patch as possible and stitch on the edge all the way around each design. Once the patches are sewn down, don’t forget to sewn your back pocket back on. 

A new pair of jeans with unique designs are now ready to wear! Enjoy pairing tops to match the vibrant colors of these Lotus Vines.
