Hanging Hoop Snowman Embroidery Project

Gather the materials and read through the instructions before beginning. Have a copy of the color sequence on hand to refer to.

Cut your white felt into 1x12” square and 1x13” square. For the body embroidery, on you embroidery software, or on your machine if capable, upload your snowflake design 5 times. Reduce 4 of the snowflakes to 80% and increase 1 snowflake to 120%. Position the small snowflakes in the corners and the large snowflake in the middle. Rotate accordingly to fit. The upload the heart button design 3 times and position the buttons over the snowflakes. Ensure your stitch sequence has the snowflakes stitching first, then the buttons over the top.

For the face, upload 4 snowflakes and increase their size to 120%, position then in the corners. The upload the snowman face and increase that to 120% also and position in the middle. Again ensuring the snowflakes stitch first, then the face.

Once all designs have stitched out, remove them from the embroidery hoop and position the wooden hoop over the felt, ensuring the designs are centered. Attach the wooden hoops and screw to hold in place. Then trim the excess felt off from around the wooden hoop, leaving approx 1.5” all the way around. Using your hot glue gun, apply glue to the wooden hoop and turn the felt over the hold in place. Continue all the way around

Repeat for the snowman face also

From the black felt, measure across 20cm wide and 14cm high. From the bottom, measure up 3cm then in 3cm from each side. Cut around your shape to form the top hat. From red felt, cut 1 strip 2cm wide x 14cm. Glue the red strip to the hat. From brown felt, free hand draw some stick arms and cut them out. Glue the stick arms to the back of the body and glue the top hat to the front of the face

At the bottom of the face hoop, on the back apply some hot glue and affix the face to the body

Use a length of fabric for his scarf and your hanging snowman is now complete!
