A purchased beach towel is all you need along with adding these four flip flop embroidery designs for an embroidered customized/personalized look.
Step 1:
Gather all materials and review instructions before beginning.
Tip: Wash and dry your towel before embroidering as terry cloth is cotton and will shrink.

Step 2:
Print out templates of the embroidery designs for review.

Step 3:
Arrange your templates as a “border” atop towel for centering placement 4” above the bottom towel hem. ( Due to the towel I chose with design lines my embroidery designs are placed in between those lines).

Step 4:
Mark center point and axis lines for your first design to stitch. ( For my first stitch out I started with the far left design of my “border”)

Step 5:
Cut a piece of tear away stabilizer larger than your hoop and spray with temporary adhesive spray. Smooth towel on top ensuring your marked design area is covered.

Step 6:
Cut a piece of water soluble stabilizer larger than your hoop and place on top to keep stitches from sinking into the terrycloth.

Step 7:
Hoop all three layers matching center point and axis with the marks on your hoop.

Step 8:
Load your design into your machine. ( I enlarged my designs by 10 percent making the designs approx. 3.5” x 4” ) If you choose to enlarge this will add additional time for stitch out.)
Step 9:
Attach hoop to your machine. Confirm center placement per your machine’s instructions. Make sure your towel excess is out of the way so that your hoop can move freely. ( With my type of machine I wanted the excess of the towel to hang in front of the machine so the design was rotated 180* as the picture shows the design upside down) Begin the embroidering process. When embroidering is complete. Remove hoop from machine. Cut and trim all jump stitches and loose thread ends. Tear away top stabilizer. If needed you can remove any excess stabilizer with a damp cloth or sponge. Tear away backing stabilizer.

Step 10:
Repeat steps #4 thru #7 for the remaining embroidery designs to complete your flip flop border. ( Place each design to be stitched side by side to create the border.) Your towel is finished! Congrats!
