Cutting the fabric for the front of the pillow can vary by the hoop size that you are using. The front fabric shown was cut 16” x 20” so that it can be properly hooped in a 12” x 8” embroidery hoop. It will be cut down to 16” x 16” after the embroidery. Since the designs will sew in a 6” x 10” embroidery hoop you may be able to just start with a 16” square of fabric. Cut your front panel at least 16” in one direction and whatever measurement you need wider to fit your hoop as long as it is at least 16”. For the back of the pillow cut 2 13” x 16” rectangles.

Fold your fabric in half lengthwise and finger press a crease then fold in half width wise and finger press a crease. Tautly hoop your fabric so that your creases align with the marks on the hoop. The folds were highlighted with a pen in this picture as the folded marks did not show up in the picture.
Step 3:
Embroidery your chosen design following the color chart. Press the creases out of the fabric.
