Materials
  • Water dissolvable backing
  • 4” hoop
  • Thread color of your choice
  • Shirt or blouse of your choice

  • Designs used in this project

    Step 1:
Gather the materials and read through the instructions before beginning. For FSL, I wind the bobbin with the same color thread to ensure a beautiful stitch out.

    Step 2:
Hoop 1 layer of backing and stitch out the FSL design

    Step 3:
Freely cut around the design then following the instructions of the dissolvable backing, submerge the design in water to allow the backing to dissolve. Lay the design on a paper towel and allow to dry overnight.

    Step 4:
Once dry, position the FSL on your neckline and pin down. It is best to position the endpoints of the FSL so they finish along the neckline so the design is secure once stitched.

    Step 5:
Stitch around the bottom edge of the design. You could hand stitch around this if you prefer.
