Wedding Blessing Embroidery Project

Gather the materials and read through the instructions before beginning. Print out a paper template of the design and color sequence.

Following manufacturer’s directions, fuse the stabilizer to the back of the fabric. Hoop the stabilized fabric and confirm placement of the design. Place the hooped fabric onto your machine and confirm center placement within hoop.

Stitch the design, following the color sequence. Stitch the bells, ribbons and dove with 40 wt. thread using the 75/11 needle. Stitch the lettering with 60 wt. thread using the 70/10 needle.

Tip: Using the 60 wt. thread for the lettering will produce a cleaner, crisper result since the lettering is small.

Before removing the completed design from the hoop, trim the jump threads between the letters as necessary.

Using the paper template, determine the center of the stitched design and mark the design with a sticker. Measure out the distance needed from the center point to each side and from top to bottom. Mark these lines and trim along the lines before placing in the frame. There should be at least ½” excess fabric to fold to the back of the cardboard insert from the picture frame.

Center the trimmed design on the cardboard. Fold and tape each side in the center to hold the fabric and then proceed to smooth and tape the perimeter of the fabric until the edges are all secured with masking tape.

When the fabric is smooth and taped all around the back, place the design into the picture frame, using the fasteners on the back of the frame to secure the project.

REMINDER: Remove the sticker placed on the project in Step 5 above before placing the project in the frame!
