Final Product: What You Will Create

    Preface:
You'll be stepping out in style using the Interlocking Monogrammed Font embroidered on a pair of knitted boot cuffs.  Cute, trendy and stylish.  Create a pair for yourself and your BFF!

    Step 1:
Gather all materials and review all steps.  Print out "How To Use 3 Inch Interlocking Monogrammed Font" instructions and review.

    Step 2:
Once you have created your monogram and loaded the design into your machine decrease the size by 20%.

    Step 3:
Hoop the Stick and Tear stabilizer.  Shiny side up. If your are not familiar with Stick and Tear stabilizer review instructions on how to use.  The next step will also show how I removed the top paper to reveal the adhesive.

    Step 4:
"Score" the top paper all around the inside of your hoop ( I also made an "X" from corners to corners) and pull it away from the adhesive layer.

    Step 5:
Center mark your adhesive side stabilizer with a crosshair.

    Step 6:
Find center of your cuff.  Seam in the back.  Mark with straight pin.  Then mark 2" down from top of cuff for design for center placement.  ( I used a straight pin to mark)  Use your favorite marking method.

    Step 7:
Turn cuff inside out and center place on adhesive side of stabilizer.  You will need to "open" area on cuff to be embroidered using a strong tape ( i.e masking tape ) to keep stitching area open.

    Step 8:

Place a small piece of lightweight soluble stabilizer on top of area to be stitched. This will keep the stitches from sinking into the knit

    Step 9:
Attach hoop to machine and begin embroidering.   The stitching area will be a small area so keep a watchful eye to ensure needle doesn't "catch" any excess knit of the cuff.

    Step 10:
When embroidery is complete.  Remove hoop from machine. Cut jump stitches and loose thread ends.  Remove all stabilizers.  Repeat steps to embroider second cuff.

    Step 11:
Congratulations!  Your monogrammed boot cuffs are ready to wear!
