Mr. & Mrs. Anniversary Frame Embroidery Project

The machine embroidery design featured in this project is the ‘Mr. & Mrs.’ by Boutique Fonts embroidery.  The design is available in two sizes.  The largest size 8.5” x 5.9” was used in this project with a slight resizing to    8.5” x 6.5”.  The font used was ‘Biz’.  Embrilliance Essentials embroidery software was used to slightly resize the design and to add the text.

 

Print out a copy of the Design Template and Color Chart.

Gather the materials.

 

Read through the instructions before beginning.

Use temporary adhesive spray to adhere the fabric to the cut-away stabilizer.

 

Smooth the fabric surface so that it is bubble and wrinkle free. 

The paper design template is the actual size of the stitch out.

An 8” x 11” hoop was used for this project.  Due to the size of the hoop and the embroidery design, it was not necessary to find the center point or axis for placement.  The design dimensions (8.5” x 6.5”) fit within the perimeter of the hoop (8” x 11”).  

Reduce the speed of stitches per minute on your machine to improve the quality of the stitches.   Machines have different settings, so aim for a middle range.  Speed was reduced to 600 stitches per minutes for this design.

Watch the tension as the design begins stitching.  You may want to do test run before beginning your project.  My machine has automatic tension control.  Given that fact, I had to decrease the tension on my machine.  The stitching was very tight and was pulling the fabric. You may need to make an adjustment to your tension also.

 

The stitch count for the design is 19,161 with a stitching time of about 40 minutes.

 

Remove the fabric from the hoop.  

 

Trim jump stitches and long threads. 

 

Trim the fabric to fit the 8” x 10” frame.

 

Frame the ‘Mr. & Mrs.’ embroidery design.
