Every Easter bunny smiles a little bigger with a special flower crown! Learn how to craft a crown worthy of your favorite bunny.

Final Product: What You Will Create

Step 1:

Gather Supplies & Stitch Out Inner Ear

You will need the Oval (Light Fill) Embroidery Design in size 3.6 in x 1.33 in (get the design here). Hoop up white felt and stitch out the design in pink thread.
Repeat to create the second inner ear.

Step 2:

Cut Out Your Ears

To create the shape of your ear, make a mark ½ in from the left and right of each oval. Make a mark 2.5 in from the top of the oval. To create a more natural ear, connect the top and side marks with a curved line. Square off the bottom of the ear ½ in below each oval. Cut each ear out. These will be the front. To create your back piece, flip each ear over and cut out an identical piece out of white felt.

Step 3:

Sew Your Ears Together

Sew the front and back piece of each ear RST at a ¼ inseam allowance. Leave the bottom open for turning.

Step 4:

Turn Ears Right-Side Out

This creates a nice clean edge.

Step 5:

Attach Your Ears to the Headband

Using a hot glue gun, glue bottom edge of each ear to the top of your headband.

Step 6:

Cut Out Your Flowers

Cut out an irregular blob shape out of your blue felt. Then cut into your piece in a spiral pattern. Don’t worry about cutting out evenly. Sometimes the more irregular your cut, they more natural they come out.

Step 7:

Roll Your Flower

Start from outside edge of your spiral and start rolling it onto itself until you get to the end of the piece. Secure the end with a dot of hot glue. Continue steps 6 & 7 in different colors until you have as many flowers as you desire. We ended up using 4 purple and 3 blue flowers.

Step 8:

Cut Out Your Leaves

Cut out a teardrop shape with a flat bottom edge. You can make them larger or smaller depending on the size of your flowers.

Step 9:

Make Your Leaves Three-Dimensional

Put a dot of glue at the bottom of the leave and then fold the leave in half. Hold until the glue is dry. Repeat steps 8 & 9 until you have as many leaves as you desire. We used 6.

Step 10:

Attach Your Leaves and Flowers
Use a hot glue gun to attach your leaves and flowers to the headband.

Step 11:
