Monogrammed Toiletries Bag Embroidery Project

Gather the materials and read through the instructions before beginning. Print out a paper template of the design and color sequence. Choose 2 contrasting colors to ensure your design stands out.

Hoop 1 layer of tearaway stabilizer. Check the sizing of the embroidery design on the bag to ensure it will fit as toiletries bag vary in size. I used the smaller sized monogram design and reduced it to 80%. Then mark the center of the bag, you could also use chalk here depending on the type of fabric of your bag.

Attach the hoop to your machine, ensure your design is centered on your machine. Turn the toiletries bag inside out and position it under the needle and pin it down to the stabilizer. You can remove the hoop to help you secure it further. Again, depending on the type of material of bag you may need painters tape to help hold it in place. 

Once secured to your hoop, place it back under your machine and stitch out color 1. Then continue with color 2. Once the design is complete remove your hoop from the machine, remove the bag and tearaway any excess stabilizer form your bag.
