Description

These cute designs have an adorable bug inside a magnifying glass. It is made with one applique piece using a heavyweight vinyl clear shower curtain liner. They will look great sewn on pillows, aprons, towels and apparel.

  • Clear Shower Curtain Liner Heavyweight Vinyl
  • 4 Pieces of craft felt applique fabric
  • 1 Piece of tear away stabilizer
  • 1 Piece of paper for the dieline template printout per design
  • Scissors
  • Tape

    Final Product: What You Will Create


    Step 1:
    Print the dieline files. Locate the files with the –a at the end of them.  If you do not have embroidery software, a great program to use is Wilcom TrueSizer which is a free download online. Cut the paper down close to the template.

    Step 2:
    Tape the template to the applique piece.

    Step 3:
    Cut applique plastic and paper along the template dieline.  Remove the paper template.

    Step 4:
    Set the applique piece aside.

    Step 5:
    Hoop a piece of tearaway stabilizer and your garment.  Place the hoop on the machine and embroider the designs until you reach the "Stop place applique" color stop.  Go to the next step.

    Step 6:
    Place tape on all 4 sides of the applique plastic piece.

    Step 7:
    Place the applique inside the dieline.

    Step 8:
    Start the machine again and embroider thru the last color stop.

    Step 9:
    Remove the design from the hoop then gently tearaway the stabilizer. Remove the hoop.

    Step 10:
    Gently remove the tape.
