St. Patrick's Day Bar Towel Embroidery Project

Materials
  • 1 Kitchen Towel (from Joann's Fabric and Crafts) two come in a package
  • 2 Pieces of Pellon Fuse-N-Tear-Away Stabilizer large enough for the designs
  • 1 Piece of Pellon Sol-U-Film water soluble stabilizer large enough for designs
  • Embroidery thread per design color chart, thread used by Robison-Anton
  • Designs used by Great Notions
  • Cheers! 42883

    Final Product: What You Will Create
    Preface:
    It really takes less than one hour to stitch this. The designs stitch out so nice.

    Step 1:
    Gather all supplies needed and read through instructions.

    Step 2:
    Print out templates of designs.

    Step 3:
    Press towel with sizing product to remove any creases caused by packaging.

    Step 4:
    Decide where you want the designs embroidered. On the back side of the towel, press one layer of the Fuse-N-Tear-Away stabilizer, after it is cool, fuse the second layer.

    Step 5:
    Cut around the templates of the designs.

    Step 6:
    Hoop towel and place template of design 42883 on the towel, find center and mark. Remove template. Lay the water soluble stabilizer on top and run the design.

    Step 7:
    Reposition the towel so you can add the Mini Shamrock design 63587. You may want to only embroider the design once or add as many as you want. I embroidered three under the mugs of beer.

    Step 8:
    Remove hoop from machine, and clip any jump stitches at this time. Remove towel from hoop and remove the water soluble. Remove the tear away backing one layer at a time.

    Step 9:
    Press towel on the wrong side to remove any hoop marks.

    You have just completed your project. The package of towels have 2 per package. Embroider both and give one as a host or hostess gift.
