Adult Bib Embroidery Project

Description

Easy to sew fully lined and top stitched adult sized bib fastens around the neck with Velcro. It is embellished with an embroidery design of your choice and personalized with a name.

Materials
  • 100% polyester material in your choice of design, 24"x 29"
  • Additional backing material of same material or another that will match
  • All purpose thread
  • Embroidery thread in coordinating colors
  • Scissors
  • Stick pins
  • 1 in. piece of sew-in Velcro
  • A good pair of scissors

    Final Product: What You Will Create
    Preface:
    Select two layers of material to construct the adult bib. Both materials needs to measure at least 24"x29". Gather supplies and begin project.

    Step 1:
    Place fabric choice and lining choice right sides together on cutting surface with pattern on top. Securely pin together and then cut out bib.

    Step 2:
    Remove the pattern and pin the two materials together to begin stitching. Stitch around the entire perimeter only leaving a 4 inch opening at the bottom to be able to turn bib right side out after the next step.

    Step 3:
    Clip edges without cutting into the stitches. Turn right side out and press.

    Step 4:
    Top stitch around bib closing up the 4 in opening at the bottom and sew on the Velcro strips to secure neck edge.

    Step 5:
    Select an embroidery pattern of your choice and embellish the front of the bib as desired.
