Craft a soft-sided CD holder using fabric with a musical theme. Perfect for music enthusiasts, this holder features a prominent musical note design and can store your favorite CDs safely. Step-by-step instructions are included.
Headliner fabric is used as the basis for this soft-sided CD holder. White fabric is embroidered, then music and pink dot fabric is cut to frame the embroidery. The same fabrics are used to create pockets and line the case.
Step 1:
Gather the supplies and print the paper template of the design. Read through all the instructions before beginning.

Step 2:
Fuse the tricot knit interfacing to the back of the white fabric. Hoop the fabric with one piece of tearaway stabilizer. Load design “I Love Music” and stitch following the color sequence.

Step 4:
Using the crosshair on the paper template, measure and cut the template so it is 5“ wide and 6“ high. Place the paper template under the embroidery, aligning the images. Draw the outline of the rectangle on the fabric and cut it out.

Step 6:
Measure down 2.75” from the top of the headliner and align the embroidered fabric; this will center the embroidery vertically along the right side. Pin the embroidered piece in place. The small fabric pieces will now be pinned and sewn to border the embroidered piece.
