Notes & Instructions Cross Bookmark : This file can be used to either make a regular design or to make a bookmark with a finished back. To use as a regular design, simiply stitch out the design disregarding the applique indication and substituting your desired color for the cross. To make a bookmark using this file: Hoop felt or funfelt in a color of your choice. If you chose felt, slip a piece of cutaway stabilizer under your hooped felt. Stitch out your design, stop at the second to last color break, right before the indication of applique. Remove hoop from embroidery arm, but DO NOT unhoop the felt. Clip all your jump threads and bobbin thread. Re-attach hoop carefully as not to move embroidery arm and slip a second piece of felt underneath your work. Thread a color thread of your choice and continue stitching the outline of your cross. After the design is completed, clip all threads carefully and cut out the cross following the design as viewed from the front. Now you have a cross bookmark with a finished back. You might want to glue the flower areas in between the satin stitched cross, but it really isnt necessary. Enjoy and have a wonderful Easter season.
