Take your ruler and measure 2 ½” from the bottom and 5 ½” from the sides. Mark an X, this will be your center point for your design.

Hoop your organza and line up your X to the start of your design.

Sew your design and remove from hoop.
Step 5:
On the bottom, create a ¼” rolled hem on the wrong side of the fabric. Pin and sew a row of stitches 1/8” from the edge.

On the top, create a single hem to the wrong side of the fabric. Pin and sew a row of stitches 1/16” from the raw edge.
Step 7:
Fold the top of the fabric over 1 3/8” and pin. Using the stitches from the single hem as a guideline, add a single row of stitches over them.

From the line of stitches you have just sewn, measure 3/8” above and stitch a single row across. This forms the pocket for the elastic.
Step 9:
Take your fabric and fold in half (width wise). Pin raw edges together. Note: make sure to leave your elastic pocket open in this step. Sew a straight stitch ¼” from the raw edge twice above and below the elastic pocket. Then sew a zigzag stitch between the raw edge and the straight stitch, above and below the elastic pocket.
Step 10:
Take your safety pin and pin it to the end of your elastic. Thread your elastic through the pocket.

Step 11:
Pull elastic on both ends to gather your fabric. Pin elastic together and sew together. Cut remaining elastic.

Step 12:
Turn right side out and slide over your jar. Add a candle and light up your house or add candy to treat yourself.
