Description

3 tier cake with many possibilities. Just did a 4th of July and a carousel cake.

Materials
  • Each cake panel is done separately
  • Bottom is 5 by 7, middle is 5 by 6 and top is 5 by 5. Each layer is 6 panels
  • Stiffeners are in the middle of each panels
  • Stiff white material
  • Matching lace hot glued to cardboard circle
  • Card board frame center or appropriate gifts fill

  • Designs suggested for this project

    Final Product: What You Will Create

    Preface:
    Appliqué stiffener. I used paper tear away that allowed the outline and easy to tear away when finished.


    Step 1:
    Design is embroidered on first layer.

    Step 2:
    When finished take out of machine. The next step is to use basting glue between another stiffener and backing material. Affix it to the back and return project to machine.


    Step 3:
    Embroider edging and holes for attaching panels together.

    Step 4:
    Take project out of frame and tear away. Punch holes and lace panels together.

    Step 5:
    Fill with appropriate gifts or cardboard form for gift cards.
