Description

Please read all instructions before starting.

Materials
  • Fabric of your choice
  • Thread
  • Tear-away stabilizer

  • Designs used in this project

    Final Product: What You Will Create
     


    Step 1:
    Top: colors 1-2 should be done in the same color and that matches fabric. Stitch outline onto stabilizer.


    Step 2:

    Place material over outline stitch.


    Step 3:
    Stitch outline tack down stitch.


    Step 4:
    Appliqué: colors for appliqué should be done in a color that matches fabric.
    Outline stitch: place material over outline stitch.


    Step 5:
    Tack down stitch: this will tack down the appliqué fabric (remove hoop from machine and carefully trim around the outside of the stitch line).


    Step 6:
    Zigzag tack down stitch: this secures the fabric.


    Step 7:
    Satin stitch: this will put a nice satin finishing edge around appliqué material.


    Step 8:
    Continue with design details.

    Step 9:
    Back Piece and Holes: remove hoop from machine, turn over and glue or tape the back piece of fabric over the stitching lines.


    Step 10:
    Stitch holes then carefully cut out the center.
     


    Step 11:
    Satin stitch around holes.


    Step 12:
    Decorative stitch around outside of design. Remove from hoop and with zigzag scissors, trim around the square.
