Materials
  • Tear-away stabilizer
  • Fabric of choice (these will be trimmed the same as applique)
  • Small = 4" x 1" and 3" x 1"
  • Large = 5" x 1 1/4" and 4" x 1 1/4"
  • Velcro Small Size = 3/4" x 1"
  • Velcro Large Size = 3/4" x 1 1/2"
  • Clear Tape
  • Washable Glue Stick
  • Hoop Tear-away stabilizer

    Final Product: What You Will Create
     


    Step 1:
    Outline of design Stitch.


    Step 2:
    Placement of Hook side of Velcro.

    Remove hoop from machine and place hook side of Velcro "face down" over stabilizer. Tape in place.


    Step 4:
    Tack Down for Velcro.


    Step 5:

    Remove hoop from machine and place a strip of material.

    (Right side up) over the entire design.


    Step 7:

    Tack down for material. Remove hoop from machine and cut around material like you would for applique.


    Step 8:
    Place a piece of Velcro on the "right" end of the design, on top of material, with the "fuzzy" side facing up. Place a piece of tape over Velcro to hold in place.


    Step 9:
    Tack down for Velcro piece.


    Step 10:
    Continue with the design as instructed for each piece.
     


    Step 11:
    Remove hoop from machine and place a piece of material over the "bottom" side of the hoop.

    Stitch the tack down stitch. Remove hoop from machine, turn hoop over and trip material as you would for applique.

    Satin stitch around design. It is important to have the "bobbin" thread match the "top" thread for this step. Remove project from hoop. Remove piece of stabilizer from the "hook" side of the project.
