Final Product: What You Will Create

Step 1:

Hoop felt with a good tear-away stabilizer.

Step 2:

Sew design up to the single white outline stitches.

Step 3:

Take hoop out of the machine and carefully cut close to the outlines, being careful not to cut through the stabilizer. The stabilizer will stay with the design until it is completed. Finish sewing out all the pieces the same way.

Step 4:

Attach all the barn pieces in the order as shown in the picture with a zigzag stitch on your sewing machine. Be sure to match the edges carefully.

Step 5:

Next cut a piece of poster board to 9" x 12" along with felt and glue together.

Step 6:

Center the completed barn and secure on top of the covered poster board with fabric glue.

Step 7:

If you would like to have stiffer animal puzzle pieces, cut pieces of poster board a bit smaller than each of the animals in your templates. Glue the cut poster board to the underside of each animal. Be sure that there is no paper or cardboard extending past the animal. These were designed to fit snugly in their own spots.

Hi, my name is Marlene Stewart. I was born in Indiana and really have a strange career path of - secretary at a brokerage firm in Chicago. In 1972 I moved to Arkansas and became owner of a TV/VCR sales and repair, then school insurance coordinator, Realtor, bakery owner, arts & crafts, now digitize. I began teaching myself to digitize in 1992 after I purchased my first embroidery software and Brother PE150 embroidery machine since then I have upgraded software and machines. My husband is retired from the U.S. Air Force and I have a 36 year old son. My favorite part of the day is evening when my husband and I cuddle with a blanket and watch science fiction movies. I love digitizing, my husband calls it a love affair and admire the works of Thomas Kinkade.
