Two blank cotton kitchen towels are the main “ingredients” you need to create this pasta themed towel set. Easy to follow step by step instructions for the beginner machine embroiderer in mind. Create a creased crosshair on your towel to help with design stitch out placement. Refer to the design file thread colors or use your choice. The designs used in this tutorial are from the Toy Box Collection ( Delicious Pasta Served Here/size 4.40” x 4.36”) and Great Notions ( Bon Apetit/size 4.21 x 3.81).
Step 1:
Gather all supplies and review instruction steps before beginning

Step 2:
Load design file Delicious Pasta Served Here into your machine.

Step 3:
Fold kitchen towel in half lengthwise to find towel center. Iron or finger press to create a center line.

Step 4:
Fold 4.5” up from your towel hemline. Iron press. This forms a creased cross hair to help guide placement when hooping.

Step 5:
Cut a piece of stabilizer a bit larger than your hoop size and hoop. Spray temporary adhesive spray directly onto stabilizer. Fold up the 4.5” fold from your towel hemline and center place towel matching the creased center and fold to your hoops built in markings. Unfold and finger press in place to secure to stabilizer.

Step 6:
Attach hoop to machine. Confirm center needle placement to the center of creased crosshair. If needed make any necessary adjustments to center. Refer to your machine’s instructional booklet . Refer to design file thread chart or use your choice of thread colors. Begin the design stitch out process. Stitch out complete. Detach hoop. Cut and trim all jump stitches and loose thread ends. Tear away stabilizer from back. Iron press

Viola! Your first Pasta Themed Kitchen Towel is complete! Great job! Repeat steps with Bon Apetit design to complete your set.
