Description

Summer is just around the corner. Personalize a beach tote for the perfect beach essential to carry all your belongings.

Materials
  • Blank tote bag 14" x 14"
  • Embroidery Thread ( 5 colors/ refer to design file thread color chart)
  • Sewing Thread
  • Temporary adhesive spray(505)
  • Fabric air erase pen
  • Tear Away Stabilizer
  • Seam ripper

    Final Product: What You Will Create


    Step 1:

    Gather all supplies and review instructions before beginning. Print out paper design template.

    Step 2:

    Open up one side seam of tote bag for easier hooping. Iron press tote.

    Load embroidery design file into machine.



    Step 4:

    Find center of tote by folding in half vertically. Mark at top edge with straight pin. Center place design paper template onto tote 4” down from top edge. Mark axis points.

    Step 5:

    Hoop stabilizer. Spray TAS. Center place tote matching marked axis points to hoop axis marking. Finger press and smooth to secure to stabilizer.  Ensure excess bag fabric and handles are out of the stitching area.

    Step 6:

    Attach hoop to machine. Confirm center needle placement. Make any necessary adjustments if needed.  Begin design stitch out process. Embroidery design will take approx. 30 minutes based on a 700 SPM speed. ( SPM = Stitches Per minute) Design stitch out complete. Detach hoop from machine. Cut and trim all jump stitches and loose thread ends.

    Step 7:

    Stitch up open side seam to close. Iron press. And you are done! Now off to the beach!
