Cut 2 5” x 6” rectangles of linen and press with starch. Tautly hoop poly-mesh stabilizer in your hoop.

Run color stop 1 (CS1) in a thread to match your fabric.

Spray adhesive on one of the linen rectangles and position over the placement lines so that the fabric exceeds the placement lines by 1” on all sides. Run CS 2 in a thread that matches your fabric to tack down the fabric.

Follow the color chart to embroider the wildflower. Do not run the last color stop yet.

Lay the 2nd rectangle of linen over the embroidery aligning the two pieces of fabric. No spray adhesive on this one.

Run the last color stop in a thread that matches your fabric as a final seam. Note that this seam leaves an opening on the right side of the sachet.

For ease in handling cut away the excess stabilizer from around the fabric. Then cut at an angle in the fabrics on each side of the opening.

Trim around the stitched edges with a ¼” seam allowance. Clip all corners for easy turning. Trim the opening seam allowance to 3/8” to ½”.

Fold back the two top pieces of linen and trim the stabilizer under them to ¼” seam allowance.

Turn the project right side out using a blunt object to shape the corners; fold in the side seam allowances and press.
Step 11:
Mix 2 cups of uncooked rice, 1 cup of dried lavender and 3 or four drops of essential oil.

While holding the sachet over the bowl, spoon the mixture into the sachet until it is about 2/3rds full.
Step 13:
Use a ladder stitch to close the opening. There are many videos on youtube® on how to stitch a ladder stitch. It is an easy stitch to learn if you are not familiar with it.
