Description

A super easy to make Easter decorative charger plate.

Materials
  • CHARGER PLATE
  • PICTURE FRAME STAND
  • (1) 12” X 12” PERMANENT ADHESIVE BACK VINYL (YOUR CHOICE OF COLOR)
  • TRANSFER TAPE
  • WEEDING TOOLS
  • CUTTING MACHINE ( I.E CRICUT, SILHOUETTE CAMEO )
  • CUTTING MAT

    Step 1:

    Gather all supplies and review instructions before beginning. Basic knowledge of usage of cutting machine is needed for this project.

    Step 2:

    Measure the middle of inner circle of charger plate vertically and horizontally. Most charger plates will have the same standard measurement. Plate used in this tutorial measures approximately 7" vertically and horizontally. Plate used in this tutorial has a small lip going up into the rim and will make a small adjustment to accommodate for the lip when sizing the design.

    Step 3:

    Bring SVG design into your cutting machine’s design board. Cut and resize to fit within your measurements of your charger plate. Design resized to 6.9” x 6.9” for this tutorial. Resized design as a circle vs oblong to fit into the circumference of the charger plate.

    Step 4:

    Prepare your vinyl onto your cutting mat. Insert into your cutting machine. Adjust your machine’s cut settings for adhesive back vinyl. Test cut. If needed, make any necessary adjustments. Cut vinyl. Weed cut vinyl design for a decal by removing all unwanted vinyl from finsihed design decal.  Apply transfer tape.

    Step 5:

    Remove adhesive back. Center and apply to center circle of charger plate. Finger press to secure in place. Carefully remove transfer tape ensuring decal adheres to plate. If decal sticks to transfer tape when removing place back down and finger press. And you are done!  Way to go!
