This purchased table runner will fit into any décor with detailed pine cone designs stitched at each end. Make it, love it, gift it, for years of a beautiful holiday table. The larger version of this design is embroidered on this sample.
When purchasing your table runner look for one that is washable. As you will wash the table runner after it is completed to remove the water-soluble topping and stabilizer.

Tip: Keep your water-soluble topping wrapped in plastic when not in use, as exposure to heat and humidity will make it brittle and useless in keeping your stitches from sinking into fabrics.
Step 4:

Fold the table runner in half length wise and finger crease for a vertical line, measure up 5” from the fold and mark for the horizontal placement of the design. Hoop the project with one layer of water-soluble stabilizer on the bottom; the table runner; and then one layer of Solvy® on the top. Center your mark in the hoop.
Step 5:

For a multi-needle machine: Load the design into your machine and rotate it 180 degrees to have it sew upside down in the hoop. For a single needle machine rotate the design 90 degrees to the left to have the pinecones point towards the center of the table runner.
Step 6:

Load the hoop into the machine so that the fringed end will go towards the inside of the machine and the majority of the table runner will be off of the machine.
Step 7:

Iron both ends to remove your pen markings.
Step 10:
Wash your table runner in cool water and medium dryer settings. Add some towels to the washer to keep the table runner tumbling. It will need to be ironed afterwards, but it will remove the stabilizer and topping from around the pine needles and the design. Congratulations you Pinecones Table Runner is complete!
