  • Final Product: What You Will Create

    Preface:
These coasters stitch up in about 2-3 minutes each. Simply hoop the fabric, batting, and stabilizer, and stitch. Cut the piece down to the desired size, and then cut the backing fabric 2” larger all the way around, fold up the backing to frame the coaster, and stitch it down to complete the coaster.

Be sure to look for the complete set at a reduced price!

    Step 1:
Read through the instructions thoroughly before beginning and assemble all the materials needed to complete the project and for the number of coasters you’ll be making. Press the fabrics well.

    Step 2:
Layer stabilizer, batting, and Kona cotton; hoop all together. To aid in squaring up the piece after stitching, use a pencil to lightly mark the fabric at the tick marks on the hoop.

    Step 3:
Load the first design on the machine and stitch the design.

    Step 4:
The designs stitch in just a couple of minutes. If doing the whole set, while one stitches, complete the previous one.

    Step 5:
Using the pencil marks, square up the piece. For this project, I did 1’ beyond each stitching line on all sides.

    Step 6:
Measure and cut the back fabric; cut 2” larger on all sides, centering the embroidered piece.

    Step 7:
Fold the top and bottom back fabric edges over, meeting the cut edge of the backing fabric to the cut edge of the embroidered piece. Repeat for each side edge.

    Step 8:
Fold over the edges again, press, and clip them in place.

    Step 9:
Edge stitch through all layers along the folded edges.

    Step 10:
Give the piece a final press. Repeat all the steps for the remaining coasters.
