Final Product: What You Will Create

    Preface:
I used the largest embroidery design then I also enlarged the design to 120%

    Step 1:
Gather all your materials and read through the instructions before you begin. Have a copy of the color sequence on hand for the embroidery stitch out.

    Step 2:
From each color felt, cut 4 leaves. I free hand cut these, they are 4cm long and 2cm wide at the widest point. For the cushion front, cut 1 piece of corduroy 47cm x 47cm. On the left hand side of this panel, mark in 4cm, 9cm and 14cm and draw lines the length of the panel, these indicate where the leaves will sit. Position the leaves along this line and pin in place, ensure you mix up the colors in each row. Then stitch the leaves down stitching a continuous line from top to bottom of the panel. Repeat for all 3 lines.

    Step 3:
On the right hand side of the panel, measure in 16cm from the right side edge and measure down 23.5cm from the top edge. This indicates the center of the embroidery design. Hoop the stabilizer and panel, ensuring it is centered and stitch out the design.

    Step 4:
For the back panel, cut 2 pieces 31cm x 47cm. Along the long side of each panel, turn back 10mm then 10mm again and pin. Stitch along that edge of each panel.

    Step 5:
Lay one of those panels over the other, overlapping by 10cm, pin in place. Then lay the front embroidered panel ontop with right sides facing and sew around all 4 sides using a 10mm seam. Turn the cover right side out, poking the corners to make them sharp.

    Step 6:
Insert the cushion insert and your cushion is complete!
