Cut two sheets of the Eco-Fi Glitter Felt sheets as shown to have two 4” x 5” rectangles of felt for each of the first four designs. Cut the 3rd sheet with two 4” x 5” rectangles for the fifth design and two 4 ½” x 5” rectangles for the sixth design.

    Step 2:

    Step 4:

Spray adhesive on the wrong side of a 4” x 5” felt rectangle and position over the placement line so that the felt exceeds the placement line by 3/8” on all sides.

    Step 5:

Follow the color chart to embroider the sugar skull – do not stitch the last two color-stops.

    Step 6:
Remove the hoop from the machine – do not unhoop – place the hoop face down. Spray adhesive on the back of a second piece of felt and position it over the original placement lines.

    Step 7:

Return the hoop to the machine. Run the next to last CS to stitch the back felt to the front. Run the last CS in white to stitch the buttonholes for the ribbon. If using a colored felt for the sugar skull match your last thread to a color to match the felt.

    Step 8:
Trim around the entire sugar skull about 1/8” from the outline.

Repeat the above instructions to stitch the remaining 5 sugar skulls. Use the 4 ½” x 5” felt pieces for the last sugar skull. Cut a 45” or desired length of ribbon. Use the flat edge of a Purple Thang® or similar tool to tuck the end of the ribbon from the top of a sugar skull to the back.

    Step 11:

Cross the ribbon over the back of the skull and push through the ribbon to the front.

    Step 12:
Arrange the spacing between your skulls to your liking. Command Strips have several products available for hanging your swag on the wall. Check out their products to find a method that suits you.
