Materials
For each coaster, hoop one layer of poly mesh stabilizer
Use 1.5mm soft felt for coaster front
Use embroidery thread as stated in color sequence
Match last satin edge color to match felt
It is very helpful to have small, sharp applique scissors for trimming the smaller pieces of felt, and a larger pair of scissors for the final trimming.
Read through the instructions thoroughly before beginning and assemble all the materials needed to complete the project. Hoop one layer of polymesh. Be sure to use 1.5mm soft felt. The steps shown are for the cactus coaster. Step 14 includes brief instructions for coasters 1-6. Steps 1and 2 are the same for all coasters, as are the last steps of adding the cork back, tacking it down, stitching the satin outline and trimming. What varies is other felt placement and the thread colors for details.
