Primitive Inspired Easter Kitchen Towels Embroidery Project

Description

The primitive look seems to be a part of the kitchen décor these days. Stitch up a couple of kitchen towels inspired with these primitive Easter embroidery designs.

Materials
  • CUT AWAY STABILIZER (LIGHT – MEDIUM WEIGHT)
  • (2) FLOUR SACK TOWELS
  • TEMPORARY ADHESIVE SPRAY (505)
  • MULTIPLE COLORS OF EMBROIDERY THREAD ( REFER TO DESIGN(S) THREAD COLOR CHART)

    Final Product: What You Will Create

    Preface:
    Flour sack towels will add to the primitive appeal when stitching out these embroidery designs. Simple instructions to follow for the beginner machine embroiderer in mind. Time stated of 1h30 min is for completion of both towels. 


    Step 1:
    Gather all supplies and review instructions before beginning.  *Air fabric erase marker/pen is needed which is not stated in materials. Used in this tutorial are fabric marking dots with adhesive back.

    Step 2:
    Print out embroidery designs paper templates. Iron press towels if needed.

    Step 3:
    Load embroidery design Easter Tree into your machine.

    Step 4:
    Fold towel in half vertically to find towel center. Fingertip press to crease. Place and center embroidery design paper template approximately 3”- 4” up from bottom hemmed edge of towel. Mark axis points as shown.

    Step 5:
    Cut a piece of stabilizer that will cover the embroidered area. Spray adhesive spray directly onto stabilizer and place on back of towel covering the area to be embroidered. Fingertip press/smooth to secure.

    Step 6:
    Hoop your towel matching all axis points to axis markings on your hoop. Opt. Use your hoop grid if needed to help align. Attach hoop to machine. Confirm center needle placement. Begin the embroidering process. Refer to embroidery design thread chart for colors.

    Step 7:
    Embroidering complete. Remove hoop . Cut and trim all jump stitches and loose thread ends from ront and back. Iron press

    Step 8:
    Your first Primitive Inspired Easter Kitchen Towel is finished. Congratulations! Repeat steps for second towel with Hoppy Easter Outline embroidery design to complete the set.
